No, it did not refer to the homosexuals. I believe the verses were referring to some Jews who transgressed, they were transformed into apes and swines.

i heard once a girl was listening to music while her mother was reading Quran. the girl asked her mother to quiet down. the mother continued reading the Quran. then the girl came, took the Quran from her mother and threw it on the floor..she was then turned into an odd creature. not human...

No, not true. No human has been turned into an animal. Some humans may be suffer from a mental deseace and ';think'; they are animals (vampires, werewolves, etc.), but they are humans.
I thought He turned everybody that disobeyed him into monkeys
