Is it true that some redneck states are not teaching evolution? And why would this be? It is not in question

or is it?Is it true that some redneck states are not teaching evolution? And why would this be? It is not in question
I am from a Red Neck state. I do take pride in being so.

I reckon they all do teach the theory of evolution. I know my state does. But they do stress ';theory';.Is it true that some redneck states are not teaching evolution? And why would this be? It is not in question
Well I live in Virginia and they taught it to us in Biology-both in High School and University. As far as I know they still do. As for whether they teach it in the Deep South, I honestly don't know. but I would hope so.
that is gowing to make the usa fall behind in the world if thay do not teach it i bet that are teaching that creation fairy tale the one that makes the usa look like fool
Because Evolution are lies covered with more lies in attempt to cover that lie up
For starters, to use the term 'red neck state' is offensive and ignorant on your part. And secondly, in public schools evolution is taught in all 50 states. In private schools anything they want to teach is legal. So there is a possibility that private Christian schools might not teach evolution.
Where did biologists and other scientists who made great discoveries come from before Darwin came up with his theory? By the way, it's a crock of a theory and should be taught as such.
The US are going to have a hard time turning out decent biologists if they keep on like that.
Amazing, isn't it?

That's how powerful the religious right is in this country. And people wonder why American atheists are becoming increasingly agitated...

(However, it's not entire states that are doing it. It's just a few counties here and there, that the states are not regulating well enough.)

Edit - For those insulting this question, and saying this does not happen, I direct you to the following link. This decision by the Kansas school board was only recently overturned. Yes, this DOES happen. And it's the reason people like myself are concerned about what Christianity is doing to this country...

No that is not true. In Texas our children are taught scientific facts. That is how it must be!
Personally I went through high-school and college classes which taught evolution - in the end I rejected it anyway.

Doesn't matter more and more churches are instructing their members to either home school or send their children to private schools. Also I know from other parents up in New Jersey which have their children opt out of classes which conflict with their faith.
How dare you call them redneck states?!

That just shows how discriminatory of other belief systems you evolutionists are.

The true answer, though, as to why this would be, is that they're tired of your belief being forced on them when they don't believe in it.
Most are, at least on paper. Some colleges are now requiring evolution be included in the curriculum as a prerequisite for admission. No school will ever get into the position of only being able to send graduates to Bible college.
I believe you're correct, some redneck schools (not so much states) are not teaching evolution, instead teaching that science is crap and the Bible is correct
Your question is foolish snobbery. Of course evolution is taught as part of biology in Southern states..
They are ';teaching it'; But a big warning sticker that says its just a theory and nothing is proven and thus is just a likely as ID

ITs them showing there sheer ignorance I know I live in one of these damned states
